- LEED certification consultation in cooperation with additional consultants, documentation coordination, and submittal to USGBC
SUSTAINABLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Barriers and wheel washing stations during construction minimized construction pollution to the surrounding area
- 100% underground parking eliminates heat-island effect created by surface level parking lots
- Densely developed urban site location with easy access to public transportation reduces air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from fuel
- 95% of construction waste was diverted from landfill or incineration
- Use of low-emitting paints, coatings, and flooring systems results in healthier indoor air quality
- Multi-level lighting control system and task lights reduce energy use in off-peak periods
- Green education program established to share green experience with visitors
SUMMARY:
Farglory Group chose the LEED building rating system as a way to measure the environmental footprint of the Farglory Life O3 Headquarter Office. Although this project has selected the LEED NC rating system - specific guidance for New Construction buildings - Farglory will use this knowledge to maintain green performance over the lifetime of the O3 building.
