SUSTAINABLE HIGHLIGHTS:
 • Outdoor non-smoking places of respite -open to nature, including benches, and shading areas- provide relaxing spaces for employees and visitors
• 97% of construction waste was diverted from landfill or incineration
• More than 20% of building materials installed include recycled content
• Furniture and medical furnishings contain 32% recycled content and 21% FSC-certified wood
• 100% use of wall and ceiling finishes use low-emitting interior paints, coatings, and ceiling systems to result in healthier indoor air quality
• 100% use of low-emitting rubber flooring, including low-emitting flooring adhesives, also contributes to healthier indoor air quality
• 100% of composite wood and agrifiber products (such as MDF and plywood) contain no added urea-formaldehyde resins
• 100% of exterior applied adhesives, sealants, coatings, roofing, and waterproofing materials are low-emitting products
SUMMARY:
The Chang Gung Proton Therapy Center utilizes some of the most advanced medical equipment in the world. As of mid-2016, there are only fifty-four proton therapy centers operating worldwide.

The Proton and Radiation Therapy Center of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is the first proton center in Taiwan. Its establishment is a milestone in Taiwan. The therapy center is a pioneer in the global medical community, and achieved LEED-HC Platinum certification in 2014.
