HSBC Taiwan believes that protecting the environment plays a fundamental role in a thriving society and contributes to making sound and economical business decisions. The HSBC Luchou Branch is the first LEED-CI project for HSBC in Taiwan.

Sustainable features improve energy and conserve precious resources. The branch also achieved an innovation point for the comprehensive green building education program including a project case study and signage promoting sustainable features. The ultimate purpose is to make employees and visitors more aware of simple changes that can greatly benefit the environment. Special attention was also taken to provide a healthy environment for employees. Every low-emitting material credit outlined by LEED was achieved for this project as part of the strategy to provide healthier indoor air quality.
